The ideal candidate will bring in-depth knowledge of database concepts, proficiency in SQL/T-SQL, and experience working with large datasets across platforms such as Oracle, SQL Server, and Azure SQL. The position demands a hands-on expert capable of supporting 24/7 data operations and leading small teams on data integration efforts. Key Responsibilities: Translate business requirements into effective data integration and transformation solutions. Design and develop ETL pipelines using Azure Data Factory and SSIS. Handle large-scale data movement, cleansing, transformation, and ingestion into data lakes and warehouses. Collaborate with Data Architects and BI teams for optimal data models and reporting solutions. Mentor and lead junior developers, promoting best practices in ETL, error handling, and performance tuning. Maintain and optimize database applications using Azure Data Studio and Azure Analytics Studio. Develop and maintain database objects such as tables, views, and indexes. Ensure data quality with validation, cleansing, auditing, and proactive monitoring techniques. Troubleshoot performance issues and maintain high system reliability in Azure environments. Implement CI/CD practices and version control via GitHub. Provide on-call support and participate in after-hours releases or maintenance activities as needed. Required Qualifications: 7+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, or Business Intelligence. 5+ years with Microsoft SQL Server and advanced T-SQL. 5+ years experience with SSIS and stored procedures. 3-5 years working in Azure Data Factory, SQL VMs, and cloud-based ETL solutions. Strong experience with data lakes, data modeling (conceptual, logical, and physical), and enterprise data warehouses. Experience integrating internal and external data sources. Ability to lead small teams and mentor junior developers. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Preferred Skills (Nice to Have): 1-2 years experience with Azure Synapse Analytics (Data Warehouse). Experience using Python, PySpark, and SparkSQL in the Azure environment. Educational Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
