Job Title: Agency Tooling Project Leader Location: Chillicothe, IL-Onsite Duration: 12+ months Interview: Phone/ Skype-2Rounds Visa: No, CPT & LinkedIn Must have Job Description: Positions Contributions to Work Group : - This position requires a high degree of experience and expertise in manufacturing such as tool design, fixture design, and manufacturing technology. The candidate needs to have a good understanding of tool design to combine with process design expertise to provide for improved manufacturability of parts and major components. This position will be working with tool design teams in Mexico and India to support factories globally. Provides direction and solve tooling needs and improve production productivity. Works with multiple groups in the development of tool designs to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective solution. Typical task breakdown: - This position is actively involved with Client facilities and suppliers to analyze their current or proposed product/process designs to determine feasibility of using existing tooling or modifying the designs to improve process and/or product. Ensures Engineering, Purchasing and shop personnel both at Client and suppliers are involved in the approval process so that sound decisions are made which improve manufacturing processes, quality and/or reduce costs. Uses knowledge gained through years of experience to explain to suppliers the tooling, dies, fixtures, etc., needed to improve processes. - Determines adaptability of existing corporate applications and prepares feasibility studies for new applications. Coordinates various existing systems and operations with new systems and operations to ensure compatibility and directs others to modify systems accordingly to implement total package. - Adheres to established standards, policies and practices relating to quality, cost reduction, safety, ergonomics, etc., in performing assigned duties. Interaction with team : - Projects are in a team environment working with team members from the US, India and Mexico. Work environment : Mix of shop and desk work. This role will have multiple projects simultaneously and will need to prioritize their daily work according to the various projects needs. Education & Experience Required: A BS degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Mechatronic or similar major) or 15 years experience in tool and die making. Technical Skills: (Required) Project Management : Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives. Effective Communication : Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors. Initiative : Being proactive and committing to action on self-identified job responsibilities and challenges; ability to seek out work and the drive to accomplish goals. Knowledge of effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation. Technical Excellence : Knowledge of a tool and die making, heavy fabrications, lifting and rigging, machine and system integration, GD&T and fabrication technology and various application methods; ability to develop and provide solutions to significant technical challenges. Tooling Design and Development : Knowledge of how to develop or design tooling, lifting and rigging; ability to establish and determine which processes and parameters should be ed to improve functionality and cost. Customer Focus : Knowledge of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and ability to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.
