[email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Position: Project Manager Location: Topeka, KS, Duration: 12 Months Client: EBIT Brief Description of Job Duties: Position will be responsible for coordination and management of the implementation of a modernized, cloud-hosted Electronic Health Records (EHR) system for the State Hospitals and replacing the Kansas Department of Aging and Disability Services (KDADS) Behavioral Services programs Substance Use Disability (SUD) provider system. Skills required: Strong project management background in the following types of projects: o Cloud based, Software as a Service system implementations; and, o In progress infrastructure (connectivity, hardware, etc.) assessments and solutions Demonstrated experience managing vendor projects and project management delivery Strong communication skills which include: o Demonstrates professionalism when dealing with challenging people and situations which includes: Vendors; Business/program; and, Information Technology. o Project status monitoring and reporting; o Conversations with key resources to drive decisions; o Developing and managing a communications plan; o Guiding and mentoring project resources on their roles and responsibilities; and, o Aligning key resources with tasks assigned Ability to create and maintain comprehensive project work plans in MS Project that detail both vendor and State tasks and responsibilities Strong analytical skills with the ability to quickly learn new business and technical processes Proven ability to self-direct Proven ability and desire to solve problems and present implementable solutions Presentation skills both in delivering presentations and in creating presentations using Microsoft Project, Microsoft Visio, Word, Excel, etc. Ability to facilitate groups in coming to a consensus Strong ability to create accurate estimates for the work to be completed utilizing staff Ability to build and maintain team cohesiveness between contractors and State staff Demonstrative skill in project management methodology Knowledge and ability to utilize the current version of the following products: Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, Project, and Teams SharePoint Experience required: Degree and four years experience with IT related project management. Additional experience in IT project management may be substituted for the required education. Preferred Experience: Successful completion of an EHR system in a hospital environment Education required: Bachelors degree or higher is preferred. Must possess a Kansas IT Project Management Methodology certification or a traditional IT Project Management Methodology, such as the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI) or obtain State of Kansas certification within one year of employment.
