This role will define the end-to-end RAN strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and technology roadmaps for 4G LTE, 5G, and future network evolutions. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in RAN architecture and a deep understanding of emerging trends in wireless networking.Key Responsibilities: Define the end-to-end architecture of RAN systems, ensuring they support current business objectives and are scalable for future growth (LTE, 5G, and beyond). Develop and maintain architectural blueprints for RAN infrastructure, including traditional, virtualized (vRAN), and Open RAN deployments. Evaluate and select RAN technologies, platforms, and vendors, providing technical leadership during procurement and deployment. Collaborate with RF, Core Network, Transmission, and IT teams to ensure cross-domain integration and performance alignment. Guide the implementation of 5G SA/NSA, mmWave, and Massive MIMO technologies into the overall network design. Define KPIs and performance benchmarks for RAN elements and work with engineering teams to meet them. Ensure architectural decisions are aligned with industry standards, security requirements, and regulatory guidelines. Stay informed about the latest developments in wireless technologies and translate innovations into actionable architectural strategies. Mentor technical teams and provide governance and oversight for major RAN projects and transformations.Essential Skills & Qualifications: 10+ years of experience in wireless telecommunications, with a focus on RAN architecture and engineering. In-depth knowledge of LTE and 5G technologies, including architecture, protocols, and interfaces (e.g., NG, Xn, F1, S1). Hands-on experience with network design, performance optimization, and capacity planning in large-scale mobile networks. Expertise in working with RAN solutions from multiple vendors (e.g., Ericsson, Nokia, Huawei, Samsung). Strong understanding of network virtualization (vRAN, C-RAN) and Open RAN concepts. Familiarity with SDN/NFV, MEC, and cloud-native architectures in the context of mobile networks. Bachelors or Masters degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or related field.Desirable Skills: Experience contributing to industry forums or standards bodies (e.g., 3GPP, O-RAN Alliance). Knowledge of automation frameworks, orchestration tools, and AI/ML for network management. Enterprise architecture certifications such as TOGAF or vendor-specific architecture certifications.
