JOB TITLE: Systems Analyst - SYS3-Application Lifecycle Management AGENCY: OIT ESTIMATED LENGTH: June 30, 2025 and longer DESCRIPTION: This position provides advanced technicalservices involving the analysis, design, development, and implementation ofcomplex application systems. Responsibilities include researching and analyzingbusiness needs, formulating and defining system scope and objectives, anddesigning interfaces to connect and integrate systems to meet business needsand objectives. To be successful in this position you mustbe competent at the highest level in all phases of applications systemsanalysis and design activities. The selected candidate will act as a liaisonbetween our customers and OIT to ensure business needs are met. You willevaluate, determine, and facilitate OIT policy adherence to internal and VendorHosted systems. You may participate in new projects. An understanding of systemdesign plans and detailed specifications to facilitate implementation ofapplication systems will be expected. Supervision may be exercised over otherdata processing staff. Interpersonal, communications and teambuilding skillsare critical in this role. Ability to work on separate projects at a giventime, keeping analysis and work organized across those distinct developments. You will provide support to our customersby monitoring Vendor Hosted systems to ensure compliance with contracted ITrequirements. You will perform analysis and documentation of business andsystem interactions. You will design technical solutions to business issues andwork with the Application Development team to implement those solutions. Youwill be involved in all phases of the SDLC, including Requirements Definitionand Documentation, Systems Analysis and Design, Change ManagementDocumentation, System Integration and User Acceptance Testing, and ProjectTimeline Estimation. SKILLS: Ability to analyze contractual requirementsand work with vendors to provide deliverables Attention to detail and ability tointerpret & translate technical requirements to the Business Vendors Documentation of application status andactions needed for compliance REQUIRED SKILLSET: Knowledge of all phases of the softwaredevelopment life cycle as well as the project development cycle Possess strong oral and writtencommunication skills including the ability to write clearly and effectively Demonstrated experience in gatheringbusiness requirements and system design Experience in analysis and design ofcomplex systems Practical experience with test planning,execution, and acceptance criteria Ability to work closely with allfunctional areas of an IT organization Experience in managing and coordinatingsmall projects that involve multiple stakeholders Experience in agile developmentmethodology and practices is helpful Experience in leading and participatingin system walk-throughs Experience in managing tasks in JIRA (ora similar tool) to facilitate releases and deployments Understanding of customer relationshipbest practices Demonstrated desire to exerciseaccountability in a professional manner Demonstrated ability to respond in atimely/and effective manner Understanding of empathy and how toexercise it with a variety of personalities Understanding of emotional intelligenceprinciples Ability to listen and understand firstbefore responding.
