Perform in-depth technical assessments, develop detailed implementation plans, and execute deployments for perimeter systems including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and secure DMZ environments. Prepare and review technical documentation, including implementation and back-out plans, pre- and post-validation checklists, and UAT criteria. Collaborate closely with the Design Engineering Team to vet proposed solutions and identify risk mitigations. Execute QA validation prior to change implementation to ensure alignment with engineering standards. Operate and maintain perimeter security platforms such as Fortinet, Checkpoint, and TippingPoint IDS/IPS. Integrate with enterprise management systems such as FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, and Check Point SmartView. Ensure accurate records management through updates to asset tracking, inventory databases, and deployment logs. Work cross-functionally with architecture and engineering teams to support technology upgrades, automation, and service improvements. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in service delivery and risk reduction. Provide support during off-hours, nights, and weekends as required for critical deployments.Required Skills and Experience: 8+ years of hands-on experience in IT and cybersecurity, with a focus on network perimeter security. Strong practical experience with: Firewall platforms (Fortinet, Checkpoint) IDS/IPS technologies (TippingPoint, Fortinet) Secure DMZ infrastructure and routing/switching Proven ability to lead the deployment of complex perimeter solutions with zero business impact. Deep understanding of SDLC, release management, and technical project execution. Experience developing and maintaining engineering and design documentation (HLD/LLD). Strong scripting and automation capabilities (e.g., Python, , Perl, Golang, C/C++). UNIX/Linux administration experience at an advanced level. Familiarity with EOL/EOS lifecycle management for hardware/software systems. Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to interact across organizational levels.Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience. Experience working in banking or financial services, with knowledge of associated risk management practices. Knowledge of routing protocols, multicast, and LAN technologies. Understanding of protocols and applications requiring perimeter management (e.g., HTTP, SSH, FTP, DNS, NTP). Hands-on experience with FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, and Check Point Provider-1 management tools. Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies for infrastructure deployment.
