The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of data governance principles, metadata management, data cataloging tools, and project leadership. This role will be instrumental in implementing and maintaining data governance frameworks, ensuring data quality, compliance, and operational excellence across cloud and enterprise data environments.Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage data governance programs across departments, ensuring alignment with business and compliance objectives. Develop and execute project plans, prioritize tasks, allocate resources, and coordinate cross-functional teams. Implement and manage Data Governance tools and frameworks, including cataloging and metadata management solutions. Collaborate with data architects, data stewards, and IT teams to define and enforce data policies, standards, and best practices. Conduct impact assessments and risk analysis on data governance-related initiatives. Support data stewardship and ownership models, ensuring accountability and high-quality data. Monitor progress and effectiveness of governance processes and suggest continuous improvement strategies. Identify and resolve governance and metadata issues promptly to maintain data trustworthiness and usability.Essential Skills: Strong understanding of data governance concepts, principles, and industry best practices. Hands-on experience with Data Governance, Data Catalog, and Metadata Management Tools (e.g., Collibra, Alation, Informatica, etc.). Proficiency in cloud technologies, data warehousing, and data integration platforms. Proven ability to lead complex data governance projects with minimal supervision. Experience using Planview or similar project and portfolio management tools. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong problem-solving abilities, capable of navigating unexpected challenges. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.Desirable Skills: Experience working with enterprise data governance programs in regulated industries. Knowledge of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA). Familiarity with business glossary development and data lineage documentation.
