The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in IBM MQ and related messaging technologies, with a strong background in designing, implementing, and managing enterprise-level messaging solutions. You will work closely with development teams, architects, and stakeholders to ensure efficient, scalable, and reliable MQ environments that align with the broader architectural strategy.Key Responsibilities:Technical Expertise: Demonstrate deep knowledge of IBM MQ architecture, configuration, and related messaging protocols (e.g., JMS). Design, implement, and manage MQ queues, topics, channels, and messaging flows. Utilize MQ administration and monitoring tools to ensure performance, availability, and reliability.Architectural Design: Translate business and technical requirements into MQ-based architectural solutions. Document and maintain architectural artifacts, including design specifications, diagrams, and best practices. Ensure MQ solutions are scalable, secure, and maintainable within a large-scale enterprise environment.Collaboration and Communication: Partner with development and DevOps teams to integrate MQ solutions within application workflows. Work with enterprise architects to build and enforce enterprise-wide messaging standards. Present technical designs and architectural decisions to technical and business stakeholders.Troubleshooting and Optimization: Investigate and resolve MQ-related performance, stability, and security issues. Proactively identify risks and implement preventive solutions to maintain environment health.Technology Stack and Tooling: Strong proficiency in Java/J2EE, Spring Framework, and integration technologies. Familiarity with RESTful APIs, JSON, XML, and enterprise data formats. Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Maven, and version control systems.Additional Responsibilities: Research emerging technologies in messaging and propose enhancements. Contribute to the development and enforcement of MQ standards and governance policies. Ensure compliance with internal and external regulatory and security requirements. May take on Lead Software Engineer responsibilities with Java and Oracle backend integration.Essential Skills: 810 years of IT experience, with at least 5+ years of hands-on experience with IBM MQ. Proven expertise in Core Java, enterprise messaging patterns, and MQ security. Strong experience with architecting and deploying MQ solutions in large-scale, mission-critical environments. Experience integrating IBM MQ with Oracle, application servers, and enterprise platforms. Strong understanding of SAP ECC - Master Data Governance (MDG) and Microsoft Project (optional but beneficial).Desirable Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and performance tuning skills. Strong verbal and written communication abilities for stakeholder engagement. Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team. Experience with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) is a plus.
