Replacing the current app in production. Day to Day: Responsible for helping database architecture Everything is in AWS Database is postgres they are migrating there from mongodb Building out multiple api layers written in Go Api layers serve BE of mobile and web Running AWS on Kubernetes Don't need to be a database architect Responsible for creating tables, storing data in tables Don't need to be full scale database arch Writing fish and database queries This person could be talking to bus too - on calls and communicating with business and reporting back to team Would have to ask clarifying questions on requirements More of that understanding flexibility and ambiguity Team is very more startup centric - the Company is not a startup but tech team is v new They are architecting a brand new system, database, a microservice How to put all these pieces together to make sure maintainable, ect.
