This high-impact role will shape and drive threat prevention strategies across the enterprise by collaborating with senior leadership, external vendors, and internal security teams. You will provide architectural oversight, design advanced network security frameworks, and influence the future state of threat prevention services.Key Responsibilities: Lead the design and implementation of threat prevention infrastructure solutions aligned with business objectives and security policies. Serve as a subject matter expert and architecture lead across domains including malware prevention, data loss prevention (DLP), and secure network connectivity. Partner with senior executives to communicate strategic roadmaps and executive-level summaries. Engage with key external vendors to understand emerging technologies and influence product direction. Create and maintain strategic security roadmaps balancing risk, cost, and business functionality. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering and security teams. Evaluate and integrate advanced technologies such as SASE, SSL Offload (SSLO), and secure cloud access. Support cloud, virtualization, and automation efforts to modernize security infrastructure.Essential Skills & Experience: 10+ years of IT experience with strong focus on infrastructure security architecture and threat prevention. Senior-level expertise in at least one of the following (preferred in order): Proxy Solutions (Skyhigh, McAfee) Malware Protection (Trellix, FireEye) SASE (Netskope, Palo Alto, Zscaler) SSL Offload (F5) DLP (Vontu) Deep understanding of web proxy systems, malware prevention, and Day Zero protection techniques. Advanced knowledge of core networking: DNS, DHCP, firewalls, IPS, load balancing, routing/switching, TCP/IP, and packet analysis. Proficiency in creating network/application architecture diagrams and executive summaries. Basic understanding of cryptography, SSL certificates, decryption methodologies, and HSM/HSMaaS.Desirable Skills: Experience managing or mentoring technical teams (optional but beneficial). Mid to senior-level expertise in Broadcom / BlueCoat Proxy SG. Proven success integrating cloud platforms: Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, IBM Cloud. Hands-on with VMware stack: ESXi, vSphere, vCenter, vSAN, vMotion. Automation experience with Ansible, Terraform, or similar tools. Scripting and automation proficiency in Python, Unix/Linux, APIs. Familiarity with machine learning, data modeling, and analytics for advanced threat detection. Understanding of cloud encryption/tokenization (e.g., Salesforce or ServiceNow integration with Cloud Encryption Gateway).
