The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in mechanical engineering practices, engineering change control, and new product introduction (NPI) processes.Key Responsibilities: Perform BOM scrubbing, drawing reviews, work instruction preparation, and Oracle database updates. Prepare test procedures and assembly instructions for internal manufacturing and test teams. Conduct Design for Manufacturing (DFM) reviews and provide recommendations for improvement. Release parts, assemblies, and BOMs into production systems in accordance with organizational procedures. Initiate and manage Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) through completion. Recommend and implement part or design changes based on test outcomes, DFM input, or supplier feedback. Conduct and/or supervise component and system testing; analyze test data and compile detailed reports. Support NPI product transfers and provide engineering input during the transition to production. Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and support validation documentation. Provide continuous engineering support during the production ramp-up phase.Essential Skills & Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. 46 years of experience in: BOM Change Management Engineering Change Documentation Manufacturing Process Support Product Testing and Validation Supplier Coordination and Product Transfer Strong understanding of Engineering Drawings, Bills of Materials, material and finish specifications. Proficiency in ASME Y14.5 dimensioning and tolerance standards. Hands-on experience with Oracle or other ERP systems for BOM and part management. Working knowledge of Engineering Change Management practices and First Article Inspection (FAI). Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal abilities. Ability to function independently as well as on cross-functional teams.Desirable Skills: Experience with SolidWorks for modeling machined, plastic, and sheet metal components.
