Position: AWS Cloud Engineer Location: Remote Duration: Long term Contract Exp: 12 years MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: Please do ensure that the profiles have at-least 5 years of experience in AWS, focusing mainly on AWS migration. JD Contribute to Public Cloud Strategy Transform requirements for new capabilities or changes from architecture, operations or customers to include them in the design of Public Cloud architecture Ensure operational supportability of design, development and engineering by working with operational support team in design and development such that the solution is operationally supportable technically and is properly documented operationally Capture Lessons Learned through each iteration of development process and incorporate ongoing changes to processes and/or technology to improve effectiveness Engineer and drive implementation of automation services into the Public Cloud Create the detailed infrastructure design to operate the application software/services on AWS public cloud platform Discuss with application manager/architects to understand requirements and document the detail requirements Contribute in detail solution design for scalable, highly available, and fault tolerant hosting platform on AWS Work on selecting the appropriate AWS service based on compute, data, networking, high-availability and security requirements Conduct solution design review meetings with application team and other stakeholders Guide implementation and control the flow of data to and from AWS Designing and implementing organization wide security and governance strategies. Designing and Developing High Availability and Business Continuity Plan based upon RPO and RTO requirements. Co-ordinate with IT systems/application support, networks, and liaise for server builds and upgrades, domain configuration, and performance and tuning Conduct AWS Cost Optimizations initiatives Experienced in micro services architecture and Dockers containers. Experience of working on configuration management platforms. Strong scripting skills e g PowerShell, Python, Bash etc. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in Computers or equivalent with overall 8 10 years working in IT (preferably in infrastructure management/support role) 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in hosting solution design of enterprise scale business application on AWS platform AWS Solution Architect Certification (Professional level) highly desired A very strong customer focus Ability to juggle many tasks and projects in a fast-moving environment Be a self-starter who is excited about learning new and emerging technologies REQUIRED SKILLS: Experience provisioning, operating, and maintaining systems running on AWS Ability to identify and gather requirements to define a solution to be built and operated on AWS Capabilities to provide AWS operations and deployment guidance and best practices throughout the lifecycle of a project Knowledge of application deployment and data migration on AWS for different regions Experience with using a broad range of AWS technologies (e.g. EC2, RDS, EMR, S3, Glacier, IAM, CloudWatch, KMS, Lambda, ECS, ECS, EKS, Direct Connect, Transit Gateway, Private Links, NAT Gateway, ) to develop and maintain an Amazon AWS based cloud solution, with an emphasis on best practice cloud security Ability to design high available solutions on AWS across availability zones and regions Experience with DevOps Orchestration/Configuration/Continuous Integration Management technologies such as Docker, Jenkins, Ansible. Knowledge on hybrid public cloud design concepts Very good understanding of Cloud IaaS, PaaS and SaaS services Knowledge & experience of monitoring, logging and cost management tools that integrate with AWS Disaster Recovery preparedness with multi-zone and/or multi-region options. Automating AWS tasks using AWS tools, sdks, cloud formation scripts, command line tools. Backup and Restore management RDS, Mongo DB, and Databases (Maria DB, Arora DB) Infrastructure and Application monitoring across production and non-production platforms Strong scripting skills e g PowerShell, Python, Bash etc. Familiarity with monitoring tools like Splunk Experience with containers and HA clusters; experience with Docker and Kubernetes Problem Solving: Ability to analyze and resolve complex infrastructure resource and application deployment issues.
