Control user access and passwords Propose and implement systems enhancements that will improve the reliability and performance of the system. Monitor usage and performance Train personnel on system usage Maintain the VMware-based environments Monitor the virtual server infrastructure environments health status. Be willing to travel at any time to troubleshoot any hardware issues in our data centers in Raleigh and Charlotte area. Research, evaluate and recommend software and hardware products. Provide new hardware specifications to users based on application needs and anticipated growth. Work as a team member in a fast-paced environment 24/7, 7 days a week. On-call support every other week and occasional weekend/holiday work required Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. QUALIFICATIONS: 8 years' experience as a System Administrator Work with the server team to support projects and develop appropriate solutions with technology options as needed. Experience in Managing VMware VCenter 6.7 or later. Experience in managing Nagios. Provide hands-on support of the UNIX /Windows environment including OS administration and systems support. Interfaces strongly with Security, Audit, DBA, Networking, Microsoft, and development groups. Experience of customer support in a time-critical environment Analytical and methodical approach to problem solving. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required Manage and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux on x86. Manage and maintain Windows servers. Manage and maintain SQL servers. Manage and maintain Storage such as Pure storage and VSAN. Demonstrated knowledge of Red Hat Linux on x86 platforms. Strong shell scripting abilities Ability to implement Processes and Procedures creating controls and standardization across large regions. Business aware and focused on service delivery.
