The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in providing hands-on and remote technical support to end-users. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems, resolving a wide range of hardware and software issues, and maintaining a high level of user satisfaction. The candidate will be responsible for managing a team, participating in continuous improvement initiatives, and providing critical support for all IT-related incidents. Key Responsibilities: End-User Support & Troubleshooting: Serve as the primary point of contact for end-users, providing remote, over-the-phone, and on-site support to resolve incidents and service requests. Troubleshoot and resolve a variety of hardware issues related to laptops, desktops, printers (laser, thermal, impact), scanners, and other specialized systems. Diagnose and resolve software issues, including operating system problems and user application errors. Analyze, troubleshoot, and evaluate computer network problems, with a high-level understanding of networking concepts and Wi-Fi devices. Provide dedicated executive and site support for critical issues. Deployment, Maintenance & Operations: Support the installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of hardware and software in various locations, including warehouse centers. Manage the full lifecycle of End-User Computing (EUC) equipment and software, including break/fix support and asset management. Develop, document, and maintain deskside operations procedures and knowledge base articles for end-users and other support staff. Provide training and self-help resources to minimize the need for future support. Leadership & Management: Effectively manage a team of Deskside Services resources to ensure appropriate staffing levels and service delivery. Prioritize tasks, delegate responsibilities, and manage a continuous improvement program to enhance service delivery and reduce escalations. Maintain and provide escalation contact lists for Deskside Services and third-party suppliers. Manage Service Requests (e.g., desktop, mobile) that require local interaction at supported locations. Compliance & Improvement: Participate in compliance activities such as corporate audits, security risk assessments, and vulnerability remediation. Identify and implement solutions that improve the end-user experience, such as automation scripts and self-healing opportunities. Provide clear and effective communication of technical issues to both technical and non-technical employees. Required Qualifications: Experience: 5+ years of experience in a deskside support, IT support, or a similar role. Technical Skills: Demonstrated knowledge of troubleshooting and resolving hardware issues with desktops, laptops, and various types of printers and scanners. Experience with the installation and configuration of operating systems and user applications. High-level understanding of networking concepts and troubleshooting Wi-Fi and network issues. Proficiency in providing remote and phone-based support. Soft Skills: Strong ability to prioritize tasks and delegate effectively. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical issues clearly. Proven experience in managing or leading a team of support resources. Strong problem-solving and documentation skills.
