| From: vinci anuroop, whiztek corp [email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Job Title: Devops Engineer - Team city or harness Client Location: Chicago IL / Houston, TX Work Mode: Hybrid Duration: Long-Term contract Job Overview and Responsibilities: Architect, build and manage cloud Infrastructure components by leveraging Infrastructure as code. Demonstrate an innovative mentality by staying aware of new developments within the technology space and identifying which new technologies to adapt to provide value to our business. Identify, evaluate, and learn new technologies for implementation. Design, implement, and manage cloud-related security controls that support our cybersecurity programs. Build and operate tools for monitoring performance and security Deploy and configure cloud services according to best practice (e.g.: EC2, VPC, RDS, IAM, CloudFront, Route53, CloudWatch, KMS, Redshift, S3 and Glacier, Kinesis) Identify opportunities to automate and/or bring efficiency to technical processes Identify system or performance issues, and develop resolutions Participate in troubleshooting infrastructure and/or application-related issues Produce lean and well-written technical project documentation and operational runbooks Take ownership of issues and act with a high sense of urgency when required Participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment, security, cost-effectiveness and high availability in the cloud. Ensure all infrastructure components meet proper performance and security standards. Develop and implement internal systems, processes, and best practices to be used by other teams designed to increase productivity. Identify, evaluate and learn new technologies for implementation. Required Qualifications - Knowledge/Skills: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, other related fields, or equivalent work experience required. Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience with foundational AWS Services (EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, CloudTrail, CloudFront, Lambda, EKS, ECS, etc.) Understanding of serverless technologies, services, and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes etc.) Prior knowledge working on serverless technologies, services, and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes etc.) Qualified candidates will have 5+ years working in a SaaS environment 2+ years of experience with CloudFormation, Terraform or other IaC solution Ability to write scripts in JavaScript, Bash, Python, Typescript or similar languages Previous experience with Docker and container orchestration Strong DevOps background (culture, process, and tooling aspects) Ability to build code pipelines and support deployment activities Able to work independently and as a team to architect and implement new solutions and technologies Good written and verbal communication skills; the ability to communicate verbally and in writing with all levels of employees and management, capable of successful formal and informal communication, speaks and writes clearly and understandably at the right level.
