This high-visibility role will drive observability maturity and operational reliability through robust APM architecture, strong collaboration, and hands-on execution. Scope of Services: Phase 1: Deployment (5 Months) Validate AppDynamics licensing and ensure environment readiness Manually deploy AppD agents across 14 applications (fewer than 5 are Kubernetes-based) Configure AppDynamics controllers in both production and non-production environments Integrate AppDynamics with BigPanda and ServiceNow for automated alerting and ticketing workflows Create and manage a custom repository for deployment artifacts Collaborate with internal Lumen teams (Client and Mass Market Apps) for application instrumentation Establish and tune initial alert thresholds, dashboards, and health rules Provide weekly project updates, risk tracking, and issue resolution Phase 2: Support (12 Months) Monitor AppDynamics platform performance and agent health Troubleshoot and resolve instrumentation or integration issues Tune alerts, health rules, and dashboards based on performance metrics Conduct monthly AppDynamics health checks and deliver optimization recommendations Support onboarding of additional applications (as needed) Provide ad hoc incident response and technical guidance on AppD-related topics Key Responsibilities: Architect and oversee AppDynamics deployment strategy and ongoing platform optimization Guide and execute instrumentation for enterprise applications, including Java, .NET, and container-based stacks Ensure integration of AppDynamics with observability tools and ITSM platforms Serve as SME to DevOps, application, and infrastructure teams for performance visibility and incident triage Produce documentation, deployment playbooks, and knowledge transfer materials Qualifications: 8+ years in enterprise monitoring, APM, or observability engineering roles 5+ years of AppDynamics deployment and architecture experience Deep familiarity with AppD agents (Java, .NET, Machine, DB), controller configuration, and dashboard customization Experience integrating APM tools with BigPanda, ServiceNow, or other IT operations platforms Proficiency in scripting/automation (Power, Python, ) and working knowledge of CI/CD Experience in hybrid environments: on-prem, cloud (AWS, Azure), and Kubernetes Excellent stakeholder communication, documentation, and project reporting skills AppDynamics certifications strongly preferred Preferred Experience: Telecom or large enterprise environments (e.g., Lumen, AT&T, Comcast) Familiarity with Agile or hybrid delivery models Track record of managing both deployment and long-term operational support Keywords: continuous integration continuous deployment database active directory information technology Colorado Urgent Hiring ::Senior AppDynamics (AppD):: Remote-CO [email protected] http://bit.ly/4ey8w48 https://jobs.nvoids.com/job_details.jsp?id=2661371&uid=2651d9aadeee47de8cdf17f021e2481c |
