Job Title: Site Reliability Engineer Location: Remote Duration: 6 month Visa: GC/USC/H4EAD/GCEAD Our client: a major e Commerce / CPG company with Worldwide reach, is seeking a SiteReliability Engineer as they build and enhance a modern D2C platform SRE will work to make sure disruptions never happen to their largest ecommerce platform site (millions of visitors) Implement monitoring mechanisms so that symptoms are detected before they become incidents Document every action so that findings turn into repeatable actions and then into automation Improve operational processes (such as deployments and upgrades) to make them as dummy proof as possible. Performs RCAs on incidents and outages aggressively looking for answers that will prevent the incident from ever happening again Support the Operations team on production issues across services and levels of the stack Maintain and improve engineering practices: availability, reliability and scalability, as well as disaster recovery Completing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations and perform readiness reviews Identifies changes for the product architecture from the reliability, performance and availability perspectives with a data driven approach. Proactively work on the efficiency and capacity planning to set clear requirements and reduce the system resources usage and enable scalability of the platform Identify parts of the system that do not scale, provides immediate palliative measures and drives long term resolution of these incidents.
