[email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Job Details: Title: Network Technician (Onsite, 20% travel) Work authorization: any (candidate must be authorized to work in US) Must-have skills: customer facing experience, network, OSI Model, Cisco and HP Switching products. Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA). Location: Ocoee, FL Earliest Start Date: ASAP Type: Temporary Project Estimated Duration: 12 months with possible extension Requirements: Availability to work on Clients site in Ocoee, FL (required); Experience in an onsite client service role (3-5 years); Customer facing experience (3+ years); IT-related experience (1+ year); Experience with the OSI Model; Experience in monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining network (LAN, WAN and wireless) multiplexers, hubs and routers, and uses remote monitoring tools; Experience with network configurations from DMARC to workstations; fiber distribution, routers, switches, DHCP, and the necessary topology needed to achieve a high QoS; Experience in managing and configuring startup and running configs for network switch equipment; Experience in the planning, forecasting, implementation, and identification of resource requirements for copper and fiber network systems (including wireless) of moderate complexity; Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) (preferred); Associate Degree or Technical Institute Degree/Certificate in Information Systems or related fields. Or Equivalent work experience. Responsibilities: Participate in team projects, meetings, and assignments Monitor protocol compatibility, perform system tuning and makes recommendations for improvement; Perform capacity and resource planning, assessing network risks and contingency planning; Must know the OSI model and how it pertains to the flow of data throughout the environment; Communicate information to Information Security Team on particular firewall rules needed to support team projects and new equipment/applications; Maintain and utilize network management applications to identify network faults, to ensure the provision of data or other telecommunications access to customers, and the movement of information from one location to the other; Should have completed pertinent IT training related to use and management of Cisco and HP Switching products; Perform maintenance of day-to-day network management tasks, such as VLAN changes, jack connections, and monitoring of potential network failures and outages; Read and follow the Procedures and Policies; Document solutions to Technology issues; Travel to remote sites to resolve IT related issues and/or to deploy resources; Track incidents in the service desk ticketing systems; Create/track Property Management Reports (PMRs) for IT equipment transfers / relocation; Perform other duties, as assigned; Ability to lift to 50 pounds.
