The analyst collaborates with clinical providers, nursing staff, pharmacists, and ancillary departments (e.g., lab, radiology, dietary, therapies) to design, validate, and support orders functionality within Epic. Key Responsibilities: Provide application build and configuration for Epic Orders workflows (CPOE, order sets, protocols, preference lists, and decision support). Collaborate with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and ancillary staff to gather requirements and translate them into system functionality. Participate in system testing, integrated validation, and change management processes. Troubleshoot issues escalated via ServiceNow, providing timely resolution or escalation as appropriate. Support compliance with state, federal, and regulatory standards for orders management (CMS, Joint Commission, NC state policies). Work collaboratively with other Epic module analysts (Clin Doc, Pharmacy, Lab, Radiology, HIM, Security, etc.) to ensure workflow integration and system interoperability. Participate in on-call rotation for orders-related support issues. Must have Required Skills: Epic Orders certification required. (7 years) Epic implementation or operations support experience. (7 years) Strong understanding of clinical documentation practices in healthcare settings. (7 years) Ability to analyze workflow needs and translate them into Epic configuration. (7 years) Epic Clin Doc or other related certifications are highly desired. (7 years) Previous experience as an Epic Orders Analyst or Builder in a healthcare environment.
