Position: Site Reliability Engineer Location: Austin, TX | Hybrid Role 2x a week in the office. (I believe we have a remote one as well) Duration: 12-month contract Visa: USC/GC/GCEAD/H4EAD Interviews will be conducted via Microsoft Teams Job Description: This team is currently working on stabilizing the UAT environment where they are testing applications for products related to the TDA integration/CD1. Need engineers with troubleshooting experience They will help troubleshoot internal SCHW applications. Won't have access to code, but will need to figure out where the issue is coming from by looking at the end-to-end flow and use Splunk, monitoring tool, etc. to figure out where the issue is coming from and reach out to that team to address the issue. Must be able to understand the monitoring and Splunk tools and how load balancing, networking, and Mongo DB work Must also have experience with multi-cloud platforms so they can understand how Cloud Foundry works. Must-have the ability to write automation scripts for monitoring dashboards (any scripting language like Python, Java, or .NET is fine) CANDIDATE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: 5 years of professional engineering experience developing, managing, or supporting distributed systems 2 SRE experience managing multi-cloud platforms Enterprise Cloud infrastructure experience e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, Cloud Foundry Experience with micro services architecture patterns Proven track record of researching, understanding, and effectively applying Scalability and High Availability principles Experience in developing and managing operations leveraging key event streaming, messaging, and DB services e.g., Casandra, MQ/JMS/Kafka, Aurora, RDS, CloudSQL, Big Table, Dynamo DB, Cloud Spanner, Kinesis, Cloud Pub/Sub, etc. Experience working with containers e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Cloud Foundry, etc. Strong experience in using industry standard monitoring tools e.g., AppDynamics, Dynatrace,APICA, Splunk, ELK, FluentD, Prometheus, Kibana, Elasticsearch,Grafana, Nagios, Data dog, New Relic, Tempo, Loki, etc. Strong working knowledge of modern development technologies and tools e.g., Agile,CI/CD, Git, Jira and Confluence.
