This individual will workclosely with business stakeholders to identify requirements that maximizeimpact or benefits for our users. This persons main tasks will include workingwith the product owner to understand the project scope, analyzing the customerneeds and finding the solutions to address them, creating the requirements inthe form of user stories with appropriate acceptance criteria, reviewing therequirements to make sure that every business rule is covered and theacceptance criteria meet the user story functionality, grooming the productbacklog based on the prioritization provided by the product owner, schedulingand conducting meetings with assigned technical staff to gain insight into thestate of the individual release, sprint plans, schedules, deliverables,milestones, projects risks and migration. Responsibilities Facilitate meetings and conduct workshops toelicit, develop, document, help prioritize and validate requirements from keystakeholders. Evaluate software change requests, determinethe business need, or conduct root cause analysis. Identify and documentproblems utilizing root cause analysis, and prioritize potential solutionsbased on risk and impact. Validate the recommended solutions. Communicate with a broad range of staff tounderstand requirements and issues, as well as to share updates. Publishmeeting notes to summarize and communicate the project plans. Analyze complex requirements into featuresand user stories with acceptance criteria that can be understood by thedevelopment team. Take ownership of the product backlog,managing scope, user story optimization, sizing, prioritizing, and updating thebacklog repository. Be the focal point of contact withdevelopers to review progress, outputs and conduct functional and useracceptance tests with QA and the business users. Create and participate in the testingstrategy. Help define acceptance test objectives. Work with end-users duringuser acceptance testing. Responsible for user acceptance testing ofeach feature during development, ensuring that application processing andfunctionality occurs as expected. Create training materials associated withdeliverables. Provide application demonstrations and training as required. Attend sprint planning, daily scrum,grooming and sprint retrospective meetings. Qualifications Post-secondary education in Business,Information Technology or a related field. 5 or more years of previous experience as aBusiness Analyst. Proven experience generating and documentingfunctional requirements, including business rules, use cases, process flows andproof of concepts. Ability to learn quickly and workindependently or as part of a team. Strong interpersonal skills (working with arange of business users). Strong problem solving and communicationskills. Good presentation or facilitation skills. Understanding of Agile project methodology. Self-managing and deadline focused. Knowledge of SQL will help but is not required.
