Duration: 12 months or longer Mode: 1 screening technical, 1 virtual 1.5 hours, 1 phone You will own the cradle to post-design, development, and operation of cloud services on P, ensure seamless integration with our existing cloud infrastructure, and lead SW development toward high reliability, performance, and security. What youll do: Integrate services with Fords enterprise cloud environment, identity, networking, and observability tooling; establish secure connectivity (VPC peering/VPN/Private Service Connect) across clouds as needed. Design and implement reliable, scalable APIs and event-driven flows (REST/gRPC, webhooks, Pub/Sub), including rate limiting, retries, backoff, and circuit breakers. Own architecture and delivery of backend services on P that broker and orchestrate API integrations for vehicle features. Define and implement authentication and authorization for partner integrations (OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, mTLS, JWT), secrets management, and key rotation. Establish SLIs/SLOs, monitoring, logging, tracing, alerting, and on-call readiness; drive SRE best practices. Collaborate with security, legal, privacy, enterprise architecture, data, and vehicle/embedded teams to ensure compliance and robust end-to-end design. Mentor engineers, perform design and code reviews, and drive technical roadmap, documentation, and runbooks. Partner with product and integration teams to onboard third parties and define partner-facing contracts, SDKs, and sandbox/testing flows.Required qualifications: 3+ proficiency in one or more languages: Go, Java, or Python 5+ backend software engineering experience 5+ designing and executing services on Google Cloud, managing cost, performance, and capacity, plan for load spikes and global scale. Need API management and partner ecosystems (Apigee/API Gateway, developer portals, partner onboarding). Proficient with REST/gRPC, asynchronous messaging, and API-first design. Must have OAuth 2.0/OIDC, JWT, TLS/mTLS, Lead CI/CD and infrastructure as code; standardize build, deploy, and release processes.
