The ticketing system sees a request coming in from an employee and leverages the LDAP as a database to associate them with the merchant and retain general information on the employee. If the application makes a call to LDAP to lookup an employee (we call a payee), then the ticketing system will fail to render page. These kind of discrepancies place a burden on the Call Center and other various departments that tie staffing levels directly to the close rate of the interactions. So assume a few hundred concurrent workers , with multiple tabs open in their browser are making web requests to the OTRS application, (like look up payee info by email), at the same time that a batch is loading 1000s of new recorders into the LDAP, and they are seeing timeouts.
