The End-to-End Fresh team is creating capabilities using tools like Android and Power BI for monitoring the quality provided to Kroger from our vendor partners, collecting new data and using that data to drive improvements across the Kroger technical ecosystem. This role offers the opportunity to join an established team and help set the direction for improving Fresh for Kroger customers. Minimum Position Qualifications: Experience building cost effective and performance driven solutions using Microsoft Azure technology and Databricks platform. Experience with SQL and NoSQL applications on Big Data Platforms. Experience with Azure Data Platform stack: Azure Data Lake, Azure, Databricks and Unity Catalog. Proficiency with Spark, SQL and Python. Experience with streaming technologies like Kafka, IBM MQ and EventHub. Extensive knowledge of data principles, patterns, processes, and practices. Experience defining evolutionary data solutions and underlying technologies. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Driven to take ownership of assignments. Ability to translate requirements clearly during refinement. Consistent attendance at team meetings and clear communication of status and issues. Experience with SQL database design, relational data modeling. Ability to analyze and organize raw data. Ability to build data systems and pipelines. Ability to evaluate business needs and objectives. Ability to interpret trends and patterns. Ability to conduct complex data analysis and report on results. Strong written and oral communication skills. Basic understanding of network and data security architecture. Experience driving development with 3rd parties. Strong knowledge of industry trends. Desired Previous Experience/Education: Any experience with operational data science, machine learning or artificial intelligence solutions. Any experience with data science solutions or platforms. Degree in Computer Science, IT, or similar field. Data engineering certification (e.g Azure Certified Data Engineer) is a plus. Any experience with data science solutions or platforms. Any experience with a variety of SQL, NoSQL and Big Data Platforms. Any experience building solutions using elastic architectures (preferably Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform). Key Responsibilities Building data solutions using Microsoft Azure technology and Databricks platform. Interpret data and analyze results. Drive digital innovation by leveraging innovative new technologies and approaches to renovate, extend, and transform the existing core data assets. Define high-level migration plans to address the gaps between the current and future state. Present opportunities with cost/benefit analysis to leadership to shape sound architectural decisions. Lead analysis of technology environment to identify deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement. Develop and implement data analyses, data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality. Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases. Promote data asset reuse.
