| From: Anamika, RCI [email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Title : Linux Administration Location : Chicago , IL , Hybrid Duration : 6+ Month ** Must be local to Illinois only ** Experience with Redhat, hybrid cloud; experience with Commercial co-locations; load balancers; Experience from a bank or trading company would be a good fit As Linux Systems Administrator at 1WorldSync, responsibilities include the following: Linux Administration & Support Installation, configuration, and support of the OS and related OS software (RHEL 6, 7) Installation, configuration, and support of server hardware (HP DL 300 Series) Installation, configuration, and support of Amazon AWS EC2 based server hardware (RHEL, CentOS) Linux end user support, systems security, tape backups, volume management Front end internet connectivity support Support and resolve network connectivity issues Open source monitoring and intrusion detection solutions Use of virtualization and container technology Package, configuration and container management SAN Administration Participate in research, analysis and implementation of new technical solutions 24/7 On-Call Schedule Rotation Responsibilities Participate in multi stage projects working with technology groups Projects involve baseline research and engineering, testing and analysis, implementation and documentation of the solution. Develop appropriate solutions for the enterprise to stay current with technology advances Develop and maintain standards and policies for the enterprise environment Maintain proper documentation for all systems, processes and procedures Participate in and follow security processes for the operations and administration of systems Participate in security projects and aid in developing improved security practices Environment: Hardware: HP DL 300 Series, HDS HUS SAN, Brocade Fabric switches, Tandberg Tape Library, Palo Alto firewalls, Cisco Nexus. Software: RHEL 6, 7, Piranha Load Balancers, Apache and Nginx Web servers, VMWare,Satellite, Check_MK, Docker, Rancher, Foreman, Puppet Oracle, Postgres, Veritas Foundation Suite, OpenSSL, LDAP, Radius, NetBackup, multiple open source and proprietary softwares. Required Skills and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent degree and experience Desired Skills and Experience: Linux Administration RHEL Systems administration, VMware Administration, AWS EC2 Server administration HDS SAN Administration (not required but some form of storage admin very helpful) Veritas Foundation Suite, LVM, RAID configuration Apache Web Server, Nginx, Piranha or other load balancing, Docker, Puppet, Foreman, Satellite ElasticSearch, Logstash, Kibana BIND, Postfix TCP/IP OSI model and ability to troubleshoot network issues.
