I work closely with some of the leading Global IT Management Consulting companies for their hiring needs in the United States Role-WAS Admin Location-Cincinnati, Ohio (Need onsite from Day 1) Job Description Minimum 4 to 5+ years of relevant experience on WAS Admin. Shell scripting and Jython/JACL scripting are the basic and mandatory skills for this role. Key Skill/Primary Skill: WebSphere IHS, Vulnerability, MQ series, Linux/Unix, Shell and JACL, Jython scripting, Tomcat Secondary Skill: JBoss, Apache, Apache, Monitoring, Windows 1. Expertise in Installing, configuring,and administering/managing WebSphere Application Server (WAS) and IHS server. 2. Expertise in Configuring and integrating applications with Single-Sign-On (SSO)/SAML 3. Expert in Writing JACL/Jython, Unix shell Scripting for administration and experience in Ansible(creating roles & playbook, inventory) 4. Good knowledge in Performance tuning WAS, queuing, pooling, heap size and optimizing other JVM parameters 5. Work with Enterprise Architecture team and development teams for with WebSphere Application Server and Portal Server implementations 6. Knowledge on installation, maintenance, and support of WebSphere MQ on distributed platforms 7. knowledge on implementing or overseeing the implementation of all MQ objects 8. Knowledge on installation/configuration of JBoss, tomcat and Apache 8. Involve in ongoing research, development and testing of WebSphere, IBM HTTP Server and Security Vulnerability 9. Triaging and resolving issues with WebSphere and associated technologies. Troubleshooting of WAS environment and applications (Analyse JVM logs, Trace Logs, FFDC, native logs, java core, heap dumps) 10. Identifying technical problems and developing software updates and fixes in automation and CI/CD process including process improvements 11. Strong knowledge on CSQ creation, and internal/external certificate updating on both the application server and web server. SSL Certificate Management in WAS. 12. Security patches update, vulnerability fixes,and installation of SSL over IHS & WAS. 13. Participating in an On-Call rotation of staff to support various Web and Application Server technologies.
