Job Title: Process Engineer Location : San Antonio, TX-Onsite(M-F) Duration : Contract-C2C Must Have Skills : six sigma, fmea, dmac, audit , process Job Description: We are looking for a knowledgeable Process Consultant to give solid advice in their field of Banking or Insurance. They will be responsible for analyzing a process/process model/function and providing a fresh perspective. You will discover the most suitable solutions, whether it is proposing a new IT system or implementing a full strategic plan. Is an expert in matters concerning their BFSI ( Insurance processes). Excellent skill in identifying the cause of problems and presenting their solutions in a comprehensive and detailed manner. The goal is to help businesses be more functional and successful. (Banking / Insurance Processes) Identify optimization areas within the process functions and derive cost savings benefit. Experience in creating business case and manifestation. Strong Domain Insurance Knowledge (Auto, Umbrella, Dwelling, P3) Skills: Strong analytical, statistical, and programming skills (e.g., SQL, Python, R). Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. Responsibilities: Conducting process analysis and identify areas for improvement within existing processes. Designing and implementing solutions: Develop and implement process changes to enhance efficiency. Undertake short-term or long-term projects to address a variety of issues and needs Meet with management or appropriate staff to understand their requirements Use interviews, surveys etc. to collect necessary data Conduct situational and data analysis to identify and understand a problem or issue Present and explain findings to appropriate executives Provide advice or suggestions for improvement according to objectives Formulate plans to implement recommendations and overcome objections Evaluate the situation periodically and make adjustments when needed Thorough knowledge of field of expertise and willingness to keep abreast of advancements Identify Control and Risk Management Understanding the three lines of defense First Line: Business units and process owners who manage risks as part of their daily operations and are responsible for implementing controls. Second Line (Process Engineer's Focus): Provides oversight, guidance, and monitoring of the first line's risk management activities. This includes developing policies, procedures, risk assessments, and ensuring compliance. Third Line: Internal Audit provides independent assurance on the effectiveness of risk management and control processes. Identify Controls: Based on the identified risks and understanding of the processes, the process engineer collaboratively identifies and recommends appropriate controls to mitigate those risks. This involves: Reviewing Existing Control Measures: Assessing the effectiveness of any current controls in place. Considering the Hierarchy of Controls: Evaluating elimination, substitution, engineering controls, administrative controls, and PPE in order to prioritize the most effective and sustainable controls.
