Job Title: Network Data Client: HCL Location: Johnston, IA 50131 (Onsite) Duration: Long Term Contract Job Description: Main Responsibilities: The role will be involved in support of highly critical production environment and will be engaged in architecture, design and deployment of large range systems along with a team of technically competent professionals. Demonstrate ownership and responsibility in all assignments Enough expertise to identify and recommend changes/improvements to the process and infrastructure design. Provide L4 level support Candidate must have the ability to create business cases and present the architecture and design that they create Strong technical aptitude and ability to research and solve complex issues independently Ability to participate and contribute during crisis times, assist team members/leads/ customer/ HCL Senior management, as needed Show adaptability and flexibility in work to suit business requirements Providing SME advice to IS colleagues across the development lifecycle including; providing Technical Architects an operations view, sharing SME knowledge with Technical Project Managers Working with the Service Architect - identify, assess and plan the level and nature of expertise and resources required to deliver cost effective maintenance and support to infrastructure and application developments, enhancement and changes Providing emergency intervention in ITIL lifecycle processes Incident and Problem management to provide 2nd / 3rd level support in response to Major Incidents. Managing relationships with key and relevant external IS suppliers, so as to ensure aligned delivery and support activities, optimising opportunities to derive added value and ensure that costs are appropriately managed. Motivating and encouraging external teams to ensure delivery of the required standards of excellence in service and performance and support the continuing personal and professional development of all team members. Resolve moderate to complex (P1, P2 and P3) incidents and problems effectively and in a timely manner Providing 24X7 production support and available for escalations. Also ready to work in any shift. Responsible for performing root cause analysis and long-term fixes Responsible for implementation of medium to complex components of a project module, change request. Responsible for providing trend analysis to management team to enable them to make informed decisions Work in a cross-cultural team and communicate effectively Desired Skills and Experience Technical / professional qualifications: 8+ years of Network administration experience in large enterprise environment. Cisco and other industry standard networking certifications. Extensive experience in System Fault Tolerance, Networking Designing, Business continuity and Disaster recovery Core competencies, knowledge and experience: In-depth understanding of current networking technologies and specialization in Cisco Networking Extensive hands-on technical skills to cover installation, configuration, administration and advanced troubleshooting of data networks in large enterprise that includes Wired & Wireless LAN WAN, Load Balancers, Packeters, Cisco Nexus, Remote Access Palo Alto & Secure ID and DNS & DHCP. Experience of working within a Service environment and technical teams of IT experts Experience of working on ITIL ticketing systems (Service now) and understand ITIL framework Experience in representation in Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings Experience of being able to highlight issues and solutions Experience of managing outsourced or offshore supplier support groups In depth understand and troubleshooting skills for data centres networks. Maintain relationships with circuit vendor, Network Device OEMs and other suppliers/ sub-contractors and also act as a single point of contact. Hands on with strong understanding of routing and switching QoS designing, implementation and troubleshooting WAN optimization and Data Centre network optimisation Installation and configuration of HA environment Performance Management & fine tuning Hands on cisco wireless products i.e. AP and controller etc. WAN technologies i.e. MPLS, MPLS VPN, IPSec VPN etc. IP Address management, Access Management and performance management. Configuration & Troubleshooting of Call out feature, SNMP, NTP, Network Redundancy features i.e. HSRP/VRRP etc, load balancing, policy-based routing, rate limiting, traffic shaping, VLAN, trunking and routing protocols i.e. BGP, EIGRP & OSPF Manage DNS and DHCP services. Configure and Support Proxy Devices. Ensure availability of out of band access management setup for devices Experience on traffic capturing and traffic analysing tools.
