Partners with application teams in the different stages of the lifecycle (development, test, staging, production operations, etc. ) to coach and assist them in reducing mean time to resolution and improving system and application performance. Has broad and in-depth knowledge of performance best practices on various domains including applications, databases, networks, etc. , and monitoring strategies including synthetic, real user, network connections, systems, and Java /NET code. Evaluates, recommends, and implements automated test tools and strategies. Collects and analyzes network performance information required for simulation modelling studies. May provide performance engineering expertise in contributing to simulation modelling projects. Provides input to project plans and recommends process improvements. Monitors progress project and provides regular status reports to management team. N/A. Contributes to the achievement of area objectives. Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required; advanced degree preferred. 8-10 years of related experience required; experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus Requirements: Good Understanding of networking fundamentals F5/DNS Load balancerengineer with solid understanding of F5 load balancers and Infoblox DNS infrastructure. Strong knowledge in DNS and troubleshooting methods with Infoblox DDI DNS is a plus Strong knowledge in F5 LTM/GTM and troubleshooting methods with F5 load balancers is a plus Good understanding of AWS VPC Networking Services like Transit Gateway, Virtual Private Gateway, Direct Connect, Gateway Load balancer, Private link etc is a plus Good understanding of GCP networking services is a plus Good understanding and experience in L2 to L7 networking protocols including but not limited to Ethernet, TCP/IP, VLAN, BGP, HTTP Good understanding of container technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes etc. is a plus Shown understanding of security concepts, including Layer 7 DDoS attack mitigation, web security, WAF, bots, and other Layer 4-7 protection/mitigation strategies will be a plus Robust troubleshooting and problem-solving ability including analytical thinking and validated attention to detail Skilled understanding of HTTP, Fundamental Linux skills, Ability to perform log file analysis. Comfortable working with moderate supervision, Ability to develop creative, efficient solutions to complex problems Ability to define, configure and handle (in real-time, on production networks) security policies encouraging RFC compliance, signature-based protection, and defending against bots, SQL injection, cross-site scripting, web scraping, CSRF, brute force, cookie manipulation, parameter tampering, and other emerging Layer 4-7 attacks/vulnerabilities will be a Plus. |
