From: Parimala, Tetrahed [email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Hello Guys Hope you are doing great Position : IT Infrastructure Project Lead Location : Remote Job Description The infrastructure Project lead will need to manage all aspects of the Data Center Building ranging from technology requirements through implementation and commissioning. Coordination with consultants, and installation integrators. The project lead must have experience managing IT Infrastructure design, installation, migrations, and upgrades, within the scope of new building construction, which may involve the following technologies: Data cabling, LAN, WAN, Wireless, Audio Visual, Voice systems, Server/Storage/Back-up systems etc. Additionally, the PM will need basic knowledge of Mechanical Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) and Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems that support IT equipment. The successful candidate must demonstrate expert level MS Office skills with tool such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Knowledge or expertise in MS Project and/or Visio is a nice to have. They also must be able to determine IT requirements, build and manage schedules, coordinate with stakeholders, and create status reports. Specific task area as follows: Confirm requirements with technology SMEs. Ensure technology designs are completed and BOMs/quote obtained. Ensure request for Purchase Orders are completed on-time. Create daily schedule for full IT implementation applicable to the Data Center Building. Ensure SMEs and vendors have travel arranged for the 3-month Data Center build. Oversee daily activities during the 3-month build. Coordinate commissioning with the architect, general contractors and ITx Critical Facilities Group. Ensure asset process is completed. Ensure all close-out documentation is obtained and distributed. Job Description: Leads technical teams in the areas of IT Hardware infrastructure through multiple phases (design, implementation, test, etc.). The Project Lead is responsible for overall project plan, budget, schedule, and ensures the teams are meeting proposed milestones and goals. The Project Lead determines procedures for implementation, coordinates project plans, works with ancillary groups (i.e. technology product owners, vendors, Architects, Construction Super Intendants, consultants, etc.) and has full financial and operational accountability for each project. Responsibilities include: Develops and maintains productive working relationships with project sponsors, stakeholders and key Business users. Works closely with the end users and technology Product Owners, and Platform Teams to identify IT requirements. Prepares cost estimates for staff resourcing, vendors, consultants, hardware, and services (i.e. WAN, Internet, voice circuits, etc.) Prepare the project plan, project scope, procurement plan, and schedules Manages issues, risks, change controls, and status reporting. Works closely with the end users and technical teams to ensure that the business requirements are clear and well defined, and that the technical solutions meet the business requirements. Applies project management methodologies (i.e. SCRUM, Waterfall, etc.) and best practices as directed by senior management or that are most appropriate for the project. Supervises technical resources, including contingent workers, associates, and 3rd party vendor staff as appropriate. Oversees IT installations on site (will require travel) Plans team member work assignments and schedules, and guides and monitors work performance. Communicates project status regularly to IT management and project stakeholders. Prepares closing documents, and ensures smooth transition to Operations Teams and local IS Teams upon project completion Required Skills BS or BA degree in computer science, business administration, or related technical field or equivalent experience is required Minimum 5 years in project management in large enterprise environments overseeing small to large teams directly and in matrix managed environments Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation and organizational skills, and the ability to build strong working relationships with technical and non-technical teams alike, at all levels (including senior management). Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and guide the efforts of small or large teams to successful project completion Ability to manage multiple projects at once, as required, and prioritize appropriately Skilled with standard computing and project management tools including MS Project, MS Office Suite, MS Visio, and JIRA (SCRUM) Solid understanding of overall IT infrastructure and knowledge of new construction.
