JobDescription Experienceand Core Responsibilities: ***Manage theinstallation and configuration of monitoring and observabilitysoftware. *** Duties: Using strong troubleshooting and communicationskills to investigate issuesand collaborate with other engineers to resolvethem Strong client communication skills - situationalawareness, setting appropriateexpectations, communicating updates, not over orunder sharing information Investigating and troubleshooting monitoring relatedissues on Windows/Linuxservers and in shell/Perl scripts Assisting in the development of the overall project plansand timetables,analysis, and identification of intermediate deliverables Assisting withestimating work efforts required for each phase of the project. Working with administrative languages, tools, andtechniques such as shell,bash, YAML, JSON to automate AWS cloudinfrastructure. Configuring Monitoring and alerting for productionworkloads in AWS Managing AWS infrastructure using tools like CloudFormationor Terraform Leveraging standardtooling, like Bitbucket/Bamboo for deploying code Manage theinstallation and configuration of applications like Tivoli,SiteScope,AppDynamics and SCOM helping clients to setup alerts as per therequest. Configuring Splunk data ingestion and creating dashboardsand alerts Writinghigh quality client and internal facing documentation oftechnologies andprocedures Abiding by ITIL and Vanguard procedures in a regulatedenvironment for changemanagement, incident management, problem management,etc. Strongly DesiredSkills Experience withOpenTelemetry and distributed tracing - Familiarity withstandard webapplication and microservice concepts Previous experience providing installation andadministration of tools likeSplunk, AppDynamics, PagerDuty, Tivoli/ ITM,Microsoft SCOM, VMWare VRops, HPSitescope, ThousandEyes, AWS CloudWatch,Grafana or similar open source orvendor tools Experience coding with Python, PowerShell, Perl orUnix shell scripting Experience automating deploymentorconfiguration with Ansible or Puppet Experience deploying assets in AWS and using AWSCloudWatch for monitoring Experience in monitoring or performance testingmethodology Experience in supporting production environments-Experience and knowledge of common system administrationconcepts(virtualization/VMWare, Windows/Linux OS, Active Directory/LDAP, etc.) Keywords: information technology Pennsylvania |
