Deep expertise in extending kubernetes to build operators using kubebuilder framework etc that introduces custom resources to kubernetes platform. Experience in implementing validating and mutating admission webhooks is a major plus. Solid experience in Kubernetes cluster management. This includes but not limited to managing large scale kubernetes clusters across multi-cloud, experience with cluster creation and upgrade tooling like eksctl etc, experience writing solid integration test suites for cluster management. Very good understanding of the concepts of core AWS & Azure services. This includes but not limited to networking, instances, network security, identity management and authorization, storage etc. Good experience working with various tooling involved in the CNCF eco-system especially around Kubernetes management. Exposure to GitOps based tooling like FluxCD and ArgoCD is desirable. Always up-to-speed on the latest kubernetes features. Very good understanding of the CI/CD best practices. Ability to create application migration plans with internal business units; the migration paths must be planned based on the unique needs the applications have and what our container platform has to offer. Experience working closely with information technology and business units to ensure that security controls are properly implemented across the environment, both during design and after deployment.
