This role will apply strong business acumen and a deep understanding of core retail processes to own end-to-end projects, bring clarity to ambiguous problems, elevate reporting quality and scalability, and guide the analyst team while enabling the business to leverage self-serve analytics for faster, more informed decision-making. Senior/lead level resource to help unblock other analysts on the team, translate high level strategic requirements to next steps for development Producing dashboards, data sets, workflows Taking on complex projects that junior level can't manage on their own Lead complex analytics and reporting initiatives end to end, from problem definition and requirements through data modeling, validation, and delivery. Partner with senior business stakeholders to align on goals, inputs, logic, and success criteria, applying business knowledge and retail context to translate strategic questions into clear, actionable analytical approaches and insights. Build and maintain high-quality, scalable reporting, governed data models, and critical business-facing dashboards across merchandising, marketing, inventory, and operations. Support and expand self-serve reporting through intuitive, business-friendly dashboards and data models. Manage the analytics backlog, including intake, prioritization, and tracking through Jira or similar tools. Establish and reinforce best practices for analytics intake, requirements, documentation, delivery, and timeline estimation. Set realistic timelines, track progress, and provide clear visibility into analytics priorities, active work, delivery timelines, risks, and tradeoffs to support re-prioritization. Handle a meaningful portion of ad hoc and urgent analytics requests while maintaining quality. Act as a senior analytical resource for the analyst team, providing guidance, review, and support. Day to Day Doing own development in SQL, Snowflake, and Sigma Using datasets they have available and building those analyses on higher difficulty/touch projects urgent ad hoc requests higher difficulty data analytics projects from I want a new dashboard, or this logic embedded in our warehouse to output this new forecast, sitting in with the analysts and helping unblock them or help them structure their ethics and stories. Here is the high level goal the business wants, and this is what we need to do to get there Set up ticketing best practices Act as a liaison between functional groups and supporting other analysts to take requirements and translating to analytics team 5+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or a related field, ideally within retail, e-commerce, or consumer brands. Advanced proficiency in SQL and strong experience with modern cloud data warehouses and BI platforms (Snowflake and Sigma preferred). Proven ability to independently lead complex, ambiguous analytics initiatives from concept through delivery. Strong experience partnering with senior stakeholders and translating business strategy into clear analytical solutions. Demonstrated ability to build scalable, well-governed dashboards, metrics, and data models that support both executive reporting and self-serve use cases. Experience managing analytics workflows, priorities, and delivery timelines in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to clearly explain analytical logic to technical and non-technical audiences. Strong business judgment with a demonstrated understanding of retail performance drivers across merchandising, marketing, inventory, and operations. Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable balancing competing priorities while maintaining quality and rigor.
