As a Technical Lead, we are seeking a technically strong person responsible for engineering tasks around system design, effectively planning, designing, integration, and implementing within a technology domain. Apply systems expertise and knowledge of software, hardware, network and/or storage to work across the business with architecture, application development, business analysts, DBAs, and infrastructure to evaluate business needs and craft and lead end-to-end technical solutions. Provide technical mentorship to other technology resources as it relates to projects and/or area of expertise.
Leverage industry standard methodologies to review, assess, design, test, approve, implement, and support new and existing technical solutions and systems. Provide mentorship on either assigned technology domain or assigned assets (to include interrelationships with other systems, applications, and technology). Work with the business and across technology to analyze business requirements then lead the design or redesign of systems.
Advise on viability and feasibility of alternative approaches. Build, maintain and archive low level design documents and detailed engineering specifications based upon business and user requirements, to include high availability design diagrams, scalability design diagrams, capacity models, logical and physical network diagrams, storage layout diagrams and disaster recovery documentation. Write and/or revise operations documentation. Participate in system design walk-throughs.
Determine scope of Cloud initiatives through research and fact-finding, combined with an understanding of applicable business requirements and technology.
Partner with Service Delivery Manager on risks, issue management and resolution. Work with SDM and engineering team to maintain project plan containing objectives, timeline, priorities, and risks this includes milestones using designated tool sets.
Coordinate requirements gathering sessions, standups, meetings with business representatives, document requirements, program functions, data quality, reports, and analysis.
Coordinate and support Production issues and fixes while delivering on a pre-aligned agenda for the sprint.
Ability to scope in a technically complex and fast- changing environment, respond calmly and rationally in a constantly changing, deadline driven environment.
Improve the health of system assets. Evaluate production issues to resolve corrective action(s) required. Tackle and lead root-cause analysis for system failures and recommend fixes/improvements to prevent their recurrence. Proactively identify improvements to improve performance, reliability, and resource consumption. Build engineering remediation plans for existing systems with identified problems.
Maintain up-to-date business domain knowledge and technical skills in applicable technologies and methodologies. Work efficiently in a team environment to ensure that solution delivery is on time, within cost estimates and meets business needs. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with business partners and project teams.
Bachelor's/Masters Degree or equivalent professional experience.
Experience in enterprise-scale cloud and hybrid infrastructures for migrations, and technology management.
Technology industry experience with ability to contribute to an end-to-end delivery and solutions using AWS, or any other cloud technologies.
System, Administration experience, to include hardware and network experience on Windows and/or Unix platforms.
Practical experience with the design and operation of sophisticated computing systems.
Python/Power/Bash, Bitbucket/SQL
Working understanding of AWS services (IAM, EC2, EBS, S3, CloudFormation etc.), cloud architecture, infrastructure scaling and large-scale cloud environments and networking.
Experience stakeholder management skills and a proven ability to build strong relationships and trust throughout the organization, including with senior leadership
Experience building and using dashboards to drive decisions and view the technical environments is desired.
Excellent communication skills will be required to liaise independently with senior US counterparts on a variety of business cases.
Proven experience to deal with ambiguity.

Preferable:

AWS
Ability to quickly acquire knowledge and gain domain expertise.
Experience working with PaaS and IaaS Cloud computing models.
