Position:100% Remote Business Analyst With Child Welfare Exp. is NEED Location: 100% remote Duration: 6+ Month Job Description: General Duties: This position will be a team member implementing a new product to replace the existing CCWIS Platform (Comprehensive Child Welfare Information System). The position will be responsible for collaborating with business to document business requirements and workflow. To challenge business to think outside the normal process and promote efficiency in the way of doing business. Identify business strengths and opportunities and offer recommendations based on research for areas of improvement. Plan, organize and deliver work sessions for gathering business requirements. Review and edit requirements and business processes, as necessary, based on purchased solution. Collaborate with contractor staff on design, development, and defect management. Collaborate with testing staff on test criteria and test plans. Specific Duties: Define, analyze and document requirements. Manage requirements through the development cycle. Communicate clearly to stakeholders, facilitators and partners. Use requirements to drive the design, review of test cases, process change requests, and manage a projects scope, acceptance, installation and deployment. Business analysts typically take the lead role in: Eliciting requirements Requirements organization Translating and simplifying requirements Requirements management and communication Requirements analysis Document as-is and to-be workflows Skills required: A natural curiosity Problem Solving Critical Thinking Analytical Reasoning Ability to diffuse difficult situations Assessment abilities Standard Analysis techniques Basic technical knowledge Data Flow Modeling Good communication and communicate effectively Group Facilitation abilities Knowledge and ability to utilize the current version of the following products: Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio and basic knowledge of Project Scheduler, SharePoint Smart Sheets (nice to have) Experience required: Two years of actual Business Analyst experience A high level of proficiency with MS Visio and Excel Preferred, but not required: Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), Entry Certificate in Business Analysis (ECBA) Certification or other Business Analysis certification. Preferred, but not required: Knowledge of Department for Aging and Disability Services (KDADS) business areas. Education required: Bachelors degree and two years experience with IT related work gathering requirements, requirements management, documenting workflows and facilitation as a Business Analyst. Additional experience in the areas listed above may be substituted for the required education as determined by the hiring manager.
