Role: Network Engineer Location: Houston,TX (Onsite) Client: Wisemen IT Knowledge and Skills required: Min. 10+ years of experience as Network Engineer Certifications: like CCNA, CCNP, CCIE are preferred F5 and Cisco Routers, Switches and Wireless experience are a must Experience and knowledge of LAN/WAN areas: Wireless LAN Controllers, Ethernet, LAN-based switching, routers, Firewalls/Firepower, VPNs, Meraki Assist with after-hours on-call schedule. Currently rotated with three team members and team assists with 24 hours operations on Pipeline, LNG Operations and London. Assist with additional job duties, includes expansion of SPL, CCL and Midship Assist with additional cybersecurity requests from Tech Security team, including vulnerability remediation, security projects, etc. Experience managing F5 Load balancers that act as reverse proxy servers and load-balance network traffic across servers. Experience and knowledge with Cisco IOS, configuration to include trunking protocols, EIGRP, HSRP, and Cisco Wireless Will be expected to design, implement, and configure IP routing and Layer-2 protocols such as BGP-4, EIGRP, and spanning tree network topologies. Prepare network diagrams, bill of materials, and the selection of internetworking devices Solid working knowledge of Internet standards and protocols (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, TACACS, RADIUS etc) Video conferencing and Audio / Visual equipment experience Understanding of Structured cabling concepts. Experience with network and circuit testing with Ethernet Packet Analysis, T1 Testing Specifications Working knowledge and usage of T1/DS3, MPLS, PRI, and Ethernet technologies High proficiency with Cisco routers, switches, and Network Load Balancers.
