Role summary Owns end-to-end integration between the portal/Dynamics and external systems (PremierOne RMS, SAP, Paymentus), and leads the UX/UI design for the public-facing portal and internal user experiences. Core responsibilities Design and implement integrations with Motorola PremierOne RMS to retrieve redacted and unredacted crash reports, including rules for when each version is exposed based on requestor type. Build and maintain integrations with SAP to send daily reconciliation files for portal payments, ensuring accuracy and auditability. Implement and maintain secure integration with Paymentus (or the citys selected processor) for online payments, including status callbacks/notifications to Dynamics/portal. Define integration architecture and patterns (APIs, batch jobs, message-based flows), including error handling, retries, logging, and monitoring. Ensure that all integrations meet security, CJIS, and City of Phoenix IT standards, including authentication, encryption, and access controls. Collaborate with the Dynamics Developer/Data Lead to define data mapping, metadata tagging, and indexing logic to support fast and accurate search in the portal. Lead UX research and design for the public-facing crash report portal: user flows (search, eligibility, payment, download), error and exception paths, and customer support touchpoints. Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs for the portal and any related staff-facing screens, ensuring ADA compliance and alignment with City of Phoenix branding. Conduct usability testing with representative public users and internal staff; iterate designs to reduce friction, improve clarity of eligibility questions, and minimize support calls. Document integration specifications and UX guidelines, and support training for staff who handle exceptions, phone/email support workflows, and portal configuration.Required technical skills Strong experience designing and implementing system integrations using RESTful APIs, file-based exchanges, and/or message queues in an Azure or similar cloud environment. Familiarity with integrating with enterprise systems such as RMS (e.g., PremierOne), ERP/financials (SAP), and payment gateways (Paymentus or equivalent). Knowledge of secure integration practices (OAuth or similar auth, TLS, data encryption, logging and monitoring). Experience with Azure integration tools (Logic Apps, Functions, Service Bus, API Management) or comparable integration platforms. Proficiency with modern UX/UI design tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch) and front-end patterns (even if not doing heavy front-end coding). Understanding of accessibility (WCAG/ADA), responsive design, and designing for users on varying devices and connection speeds.Required functional skills Experience designing user journeys for public-facing government portals, especially where eligibility, payments, and document downloads are involved. Ability to collaborate with legal, records, and IT stakeholders to translate Arizona Public Records Law and CJIS requirements into integration and UX constraints (e.g., identity checks, redaction access rules). Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting integration issues and optimizing flows to keep uptime and fulfillment targets on track. Clear communication and documentation skills to support handoff to operations, including runbooks for integration support and UX standards for future enhancements.
