This role is hybrid onsite in Waukegan IL (3 days onsite). Required: Must have 5+ years of experience. Must have experience as a Data Analyst (will be organizing data, communicating with stakeholders). Must have experience with PowerBI (NOT looking for a PowerBI developer; this person will be updating dashboards, pulling/sourcing data, etc.) Preferred: Pharmaceutical or similar industry experience is preferred. Background in Infrastructure / background in monitoring is a bonus, not required. HIVE database experience is a bonus, not required. Years of experience/education and/or certifications required: BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance 5+yrs experience in this type of role What are the top 3-5 skills requirements should this person have Demonstrated strength in SQL, data modeling, ETL development, and data warehousing 3+ yrs Experience with Power BI Demonstrate deep understanding of source data from various internal/external systems. Communicate and present findings to stakeholders Excellent business and communication skills are a must to develop and define key business questions and to build data sets that answer those questions Experience creating PowerPoints and Dashboards for leadership The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with development of metrics and business analytics, and have the aptitude to incorporate new approaches and methodologies, and a strong understanding of Data Warehouse (DW) concepts, while dealing with ambiguity Should be able to work cohesively with stakeholders to understand business requirements and implement reporting solutions What is a nice to have (but not required) regarding skills, requirements, experience, education, or certification Experience using HIVE Job Summary: The Business Data Analyst will be responsible for data modeling, Power BI dashboard creation and maintenance, ETL automation, ad-hoc reporting, and long term analytical and statistical projects. The Business Data Analyst will support cross-functional stakeholders and work with multiple sources and a wide range of data technologies and systems (e.g. SQL, Power BI, Hive, etc..)
