SAP FICO/Product Costing System Consultant

Duration: 3-6 month rolling contract with possibility to extend and/or convert

Location: Mostly remote client would like candidates to come onsite for milestones but relocation is not required; client located in Atlanta, GA

Required Skills:

SAP S/4 HANA Controlling and Product Costing (part of FICO) SAP Record to Report (R2R or RTR) Process integration with MM and other processes **not looking for SAP Financials consultant

Description:

The qualified candidate will focus on providing supports on production break fixes, system optimization efforts, process improvements, project and enhancements in the SAP controlling areas including product costing with standard cost implementation practices, legal vs group costing evaluations, material ledger reconciliation, price variance analysis, intercompany STO transfer transactions, costing components and allocation process, familiar with costing master data and costing runs setups as well as various cross process integration touch points such as production order settlements and COPA reporting.

Responsibilities:

Apply troubleshooting skills to solve all key technical and business process issues logged into the support queue

Partner with key finance user to prioritize production support cases and enhancement requests (with focus on value contribution)

Identify and resolve root causes to re-occurring production support issues

Document root cause analysis and issue resolution; update job aids and desk top procedures when appropriate.

Lead small to medium size RTR initiatives and cross process team coordination such as system upgrade effort.

Participate in rotating production support on-call schedule (after hours)

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

Strong interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate with individual users and/or teams at all levels.

Strong analytical, critical thinking, and functional/technical troubleshooting skills

Effective communication, business writing and presentation skills

Ability to collaborate with various workstreams on identifying and solving multiple integration touch point issues

Ability to manage and prioritize simultaneous initiatives

Explore alternatives, recommend outcomes, and establish a course of action to accomplish specific goals

Knowledge of overall SAP FICO modules transactions and functionalities

Knowledge of SAP FICO integration touch points
