| From: satin, Cohesive Technologies [email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Position : Compute & Storage Engineer Duration: 6 Months+ Mode of Work: Hybrid Contract Location : Canada - Ottawa (PR or Canadian Citizens) Job description : Daily operation and maintenance of virtual server environment for data center and remote sites using vCenter and other VMware tools Install, configure, and manage all aspects of the VMware vSphere environment including creating virtual machines, installing new ESXi hosts, datastore creation and maintenance, P2Vs, and troubleshooting performance issues Monitoring of Network and Application Environments Generate Operations Reports related to system capacity and utilization VMware administration responsible for configuration, maintenance, monitoring, and overall support of multiple VMware environments Maintain and restore VM backups and snapshots Performs regular system maintenance, hardware and software upgrades, physical to virtual migrations and performance tuning Troubleshoots Windows and ESX server OS issues; independently utilizes all available resources to ensure timely resolution of server issues Solid experience in a Senior Systems Storage and Backup Administrator role Install /Configure and troubleshoot the Storage system like NetApp (Cluster mode) Experience in managing and deploying Extreme IO storage platforms, Netbackup- NetApp FAS8080, FAS3140A, FAS3270, and FAS3240 series storage platforms Provide L3 support for Cisco MDS and Brocade SAN switches Perform Storage and SAN Switch upgrades Perform L3 support for NetApp file share issues.
