From: vijay, TechRakers [email protected] Reply to: [email protected] SAS Systems Admin 4+ months 100% remote Job Description: Client is seeking a detail oriented Application Systems Administrator with SAS administration and architecture experience, on multiple servers and clients, who will contribute toward the success of our technology initiatives. Our team is growing to respond to changing regulatory compliance needs of our industry. Responsibilities: System administration, recommending and implementing program improvements: Shares in monitoring operating efficiency of existing systems to achieve optimum performance levels. Contributes to investigate, analyze, and resolve technical problems related to system functions, programming, and procedures. Ensuring production system issues are resolved in a timely manner. Writes documentation that describes operating procedures or user processes. Supports the user community, assisting with programming guidance, problem resolution and training. Basic Qualifications - Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience. - At least 5+ years experience with SAS Administration and supporting SAS systems/applications. Required Qualifications - Certified SAS Platform Administrator for SAS 9 Preferred Skills/Experience - Experience administering SAS architecture and OS (Linux and Windows) basics in a multi-node grid environment. - Working knowledge of SAS 9.4 applications: SAS Management Console, SAS Enterprise Guide, SAS Add-in For MS Office, SAS Enterprise Miner, LSF/Platform Manager, and SAS ECL, desktop support preferred. - Experience monitoring and managing the SAS/GRID environment. Concentration on compute nodes and metadata server with focus on SAS job parallelization, object spawners, workspace/stored process server, and Load Sharing Facility (LSF) tuning. - Relational database experience and a strong technical background preferred; SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, Hadoop. - Experience reading through SAS logs to work through problems finding root causes and rectifying. Interfacing with SAS Technical Support is a must. - Ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical resources, orally and written documentation. - Excellent customer service, problem solving, training, and testing skills. - Organize multiple work tasks and prioritize to meet deadlines.
