From: Deepika, Teamware solution [email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Job Role: Data Governance Lead Location: Northern, CA / Austin, TX OR Remote (Willing to travel on a need basis) Duration: 06+ Months Client: Decision Minds/Palo Alto Networks Rate: $75 to $80 MUST HAVE: A Data Governance Lead is responsible for ensuring the successful implementation and adoption of Data Governance program through creating and maintaining detailed Data Management documentation, implementing automated solutions, and deploying and enforcing policies and procedures that ensure data is used and maintained properly. This position supports managing data as a business asset, resulting in increased value and trust in data. The Data Governance Lead will act as a liaison across teams to ensure optimal data management throughout the business. As a Data Governance Lead, responsibilities will require you to Prioritize and support Data Governance and Data Quality program and initiative. Identify and document Data Governance requirement and functional specification. Implement and automate Data Governance processes across the organization. Coordinate with onsite and offshore team and oversee the deliverables. Lead Data Governance team to plan, prioritize and implement solutions to data issues and governance, providing clarity on business needs and priorities. Develop data quality metrics measuring status & progress towards meeting business needs. Work with key stakeholders to establish and refine systems, procedures, and data controls to manage data as a business asset. Identify and communicate Data Governance and data quality insights, potential upstream and/or downstream impacts, and related opportunities to business leaders. Identify and manage data quality in alignment with the needs of the business and industry. Assist in bringing resolution to data quality concerns and issues. Work closely with IT, business application and Data Governance teams to expand adoption of governance framework. Foster relationships with key stakeholders across the business segments, both business and IT Effectively creates a compelling story using data; Able to make recommendations and articulate conclusions supported by data. Identify business processes impacting data quality and collaborate with teams to improve data quality REQUIRED EDUCATION SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: Bachelors Degree in Business, Computer Science, Database Management, or related field required. Minimum 5 years relevant experience in Data Governance , Data Management and Data Quality Exceptional interpersonal, verbal and written communication, and project management skills. Practitioners Knowledge of Data Governance tool like Collibra is required with experience other tools like Alation, Informatica Axon, etc. Excellent communication and presentation skills A pragmatic and flexible attitude towards problem solving, and a consultative working style Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
