NETWORK SECURITY ENGINEER, specifically in Azure. Someone that can advise and review the environment, design (not architect but close) - they are building out a DevSecOps environment so that is good to have on their background. This person will be the main person making sure everything is secure. They have an architect and other engineers but nobody that focuses on security. The Cloud Security Engineer is responsible for envisioning and taking steps to implement security improvements to protect' information and assets. The Cloud Security Engineer leads The Cloud Security Engineer leads the product area strategy, roadmap, application design and vendor/product due-diligence functions. The Cloud Security Engineer serves as a liaison to the other IT functional groups, influencing outcomes as appropriate. The Cloud Security Engineer operates as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in cloud security and provides 3rd level production support for applications. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: List the core duties or tasks that are fundamental to the performance of the job. Assess and understand companys current security posture and future architecture, and optimize the security procedures for Cloud Strong understanding of cloud security architecture, network security, and identity management, Azure security best practices and ability to implement them. Own all aspects of cloud security product definition including vendor integration, platform integration and monitoring for cloud platforms including but not limited to AWS, Azure and Google Cloud Set technical standards for cloud infrastructure and collaborate with the operations team to ensure high availability and scalability of the cloud environment. Develop cloud monitoring and response use cases and supporting content to augment existing monitoring processes. Facilitate cloud security automation by working with cloud service provider APIs SDKs and custom source code. Hands-on experience in Azure with focus on security services network security, storage service encryption, key vault, disk encryption, traffic manager, log analytics, security center, Azure policy, Azure VPN gateways Strong understanding of security compliance frameworks (e.g. SOC 2, PCI DSS) Experience with Azure security center, Azure policies, new policies in Prisma, Azure AD, and Azure key vault Experience integrating third party security tools like PAN firewalls with Azure Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and methodologies (e.g. NIST, open security architecture, cloud cecurity Alliance etc.) Familiar with cloud security compliance technology - CSPM Azure Cloud vendor certification specifically aimed at Cloud security knowledge and skills is required (e.g. AZ-500) Preferrable cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CCSP, CISSP) PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ADA: Please include any additional physical requirements below the standard requirements (including any travel, lifting, pushing, or pulling) Job requires ability to work in an office environment, primarily on a computer. Requires sitting, standing, walking, hearing, talking on the telephone, attending in-person meetings, typing, and working with paper/files, etc. Consistent timeliness and regular attendance.
