BY 2020 has several database structure changes. BY 2020 has a new web interface called REFS or PORTAL. Fat client from the old versions is also retained in BY 2020, but users needing GUI interface rely on REFS and are dissuaded from using the Fat client. Page Builder is provided as a tool to write application extensions. Older tool called DDA from the previous versions, which is also used to write application extensions is retained for backward compatibility. Reports are implemented in BY 2020 using Jasper Reports. Previous versions of JDA used a native reports tool called Report Writer, which is now deprecated in BY 2020. Key skill enhancements needed to work in BY2020 are: Knowledge of database changes and functional enhancements in BY 2020. Skills using REFS, web based interface navigation and tracing. Supporting application enhancements using Page Builder. Ability to develop/troubleshoot using Jasper Reports.
