POSITION GENERAL DUTIES AND TASKS : Web App JavaScript (ES6) Developer Position Statement: The developer will work as part of a customer testing team. The developer would be enhancing and maintaining a custom automation test framework for a salesforce -based application. Test framework is coded in JavaScript. We are looking for someone with JavaScript development experience with web apps using browser-based tools. Any experience in JavaScript predating ES6 will not count for this position. Candidate with JAVA background is not acceptable if they have less than 2 years of JavaScript (ES6) development with web apps since January 31st of 2020. Any coding experience with JavaScript that predates ES6 will not count for this position. Position Summary: Person filling this position will be expected to enhance and maintain a custom automation framework. His day-to-day activities will include the tasks, but wont be limited to the following tasks: - Enhancing existing functionalities in the framework Fixing issues in framework reported by the testing teams using it for automation. Writing of JavaScript code for the test cases that are supported by the framework. This automation framework is used by testers for testing a Salesforce application. The Salesforce application is used by multiple users across the Globe and is very critical to the customer. This person will be expected to collaborate with other teams. He would be part of a team of developers. Since this is a customer facing role, the person would also need to work with customer product leads, who are working on targeted features and functions having firm rollout dates. This position will follow agile methodology delivering solutions with best-in-class quality and performance. This role should embrace and demonstrate core development principles and practices that are aligned to the latest strides taking in this technical space so that our customer remains a leading player in digital in their market segment. Qualifications The success in this role will demonstrate itself through the following attributes and skills: Required Qualifications Three (3) years of professional experience in web development using JavaScript (ES6). For JavaScript (ES6) experience any JavaScript frameworks like React, Vue and Next will count. For JavaScript (ES6) experience Typescript development will also count For JavaScript (ES6) experience Node, and their surrounding tools like NPM and Yarn will count. Very good in spoken English, necessary for a customer facing role and team interaction. Optional Qualifications Experience with version control systems like Stash or GitHub. Experience with end-to-end testing tools such as Cypress, Webdriver, Puppeteer, Detox. Experience with REST and GraphQL APIs. Experience with Unit testing tools like Jest or Enzyme. Salesforce automation experience.
