Job Description We are seeing a self-driven desktop engineer who embracesthe modern desktop technologies, while honing the requirements of a desktop orend user compute environment. This individual must maintain a workingrelationship with L1 and L2 support while working on their day-to-day tasks KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Beresponsible for the ongoing maintenance and planning of the company's desktopOS environment, including image creation, maintenance, and troubleshooting Beresponsible for application packaging to support the end user computerenvironment for the bank Maintainstrategy for VDI OS, Physical OS, and HP Thin Clients OS ManageVMware App Volumes for application packages deployed on VDI Workwith our virtualization team for VMware Horizon View and vCenter Providepackages for SCCM Workwith Security teams to fine tune agents for performance and deployments Have aknowledge of Powershell and other scripting Maintaina working relationship with L1 and L2 support, while addressing gaps inknowledge transfer where needed MINIMUMKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Expertadministration/engineering skills in Windows 10 OS including but not limited toOS Imaging, performance tuning and build numbers Working knowledge on OS imagingusing tools such as Hashicorp, MDT, SCCM Expert administration/implementation skills in Application Deployment tools(hashicorp, SCCM, PDQ) and MSIEXEC Working knowledge of VDI technologies (VMware, Citrix, Microsoft) Advanced knowledge in automating for Windows platforms leveragingPowerShell. Advanced knowledge with Windows Group Policy to manage Windows 10Strongtechnical ability and outstanding troubleshooting skills. Experiencewith Finance/Trading/Highly regulated sectors Strongcommunication skills, written and verbal. Abilityto execute procedures and follow established policy and procedure.
