Currently, Client has over 250 employees and manages $40 billion in the following strategies: absolute return funds, levered credit funds, middle market and structured funds. The Special Projects team within client Application Technology is seeking a Strong SQL/Script Developer with buy side experience. This role will support a cross section of business teams and applications spanning treasury, operations, accounting, portfolio management, and risk. The candidate is expected to be a motivated self-starter who feels comfortable leading the development of high visibility software projects. Job Description: This role is for a hands-on SQL developer with at least 5 years of experience in the financial services or Asset Management industry. This person works closely with business users to define and lead the implementation of applications and automated processes, including schema design and SQL work. This person will be responsible for: Enhancing and support multiple Web based Dashboards used by Front, Middle and back office teams. Develop and support client Regulatory/Compliance Systems The Special Projects Team is led by the Co-CTO. The team consists of multiple shared resources from client Technology and One onsite Lead. This role will be a new addition to the team as a dedicated resource on special projects team. The person in this role must have an understanding of fixed income, equity and credit derivative, and asset backed asset classes. This person has an established track record of working independently and as part of a team. This person must be able to communicate with business users on matters regarding investment analysis, risk management strategies, analytics strategies, and investment performance at a portfolio or position level. Project management and working with offshore resources will be critical to this persons success (the offshore team works in a sandbox Azure environment). Troubleshooting and QA are important skills on any small development team, and this person will be expected to take ownership of their work and all related apps, proactively providing project management & some technical support, and generally keeping our client business stakeholders well informed and engaged. The business knowledge and experience preferred for this position include: Front office systems dealing with market data and order/trade allocation. Experience with designing of data flows to and from vendor systems. Experience with designing modular applications with reusable components. Regulatory filing and buy side Compliance systems. Technical Experience: 5+ years of business/functional analysis for buy side firm with strong SQL Development. Interfacing with senior business users on software requirements and project flow Delegation and managing of projects involving onshore and offshore resources Impeccable oral, written and interpersonal skills communication skills. Recommended JIRA, Jenkins (or other CI), GIT, SQL Compare, .NET Strong SQL/T-SQL knowledge from SQL Server 2016 Experience with Risk / Analytics systems PnL and Attribution calcs / systems Regulatory Reporting / Data Warehouse systems Powershell scripting (we have approx. 1500 PS1 scripts running) Keywords: continuous integration quality analyst Colorado New York |
