Position: SDET Engineer Location: Onsite in DC Area Rate: $50/hr on C2C Client: Comcast Top three MUST HAVE skill sets (technical): Strong Coding experience in Java and Knowledge on Spring Boot framework. REST API Testing experience. Git, Jenkins and knowledge on Linux environments. Qualifications: 3+ years of Experience in Software Engineering using Java. Experience with functional testing and automation of Restful APIs. Experience with Continuous Integration and Test Automation framework Development. Experience with Java-based frameworks for micro services such as Spring Boot. Experience with container systems such as Docker, Docker Swarm and Kubernetes. Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins or Concourse. Experience working in an Agile environment. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Good to have knowledge on AWS products and basic knowledge on Python scripting. Core responsibilities: Work with Product owners, Engineering and other internal teams to identify technical and functional needs of the system and ensure integrated test design and delivery. Designing and building automated tests and patterns for unit testing, functional testing and end-to-end system tests. Develop and utilize in-house tools to assist in automation efforts through development process. Take an active part in working with other team members to provide expertise surrounding our testing strategy and automation roadmap. Provide guidance on industry standard tools and help select new tools and technologies to improve our automation process. Ensure that internal quality processes are followed and help produce artifacts for verification and validation plans, test reports, and other documentation that complies with requirements. Develop/run load tests as needed. Triage the issues/bugs that arise in production code and find the rootcause.
