JOB SUMMARY The TMS Solutions Analyst leverages strong technical aptitude with in-depth transportation and supply chain experience to design, develop and configure transportation and logistics related solutions. As a TMS Solutions Analyst you will serve as a software engineer and technical expert of transportation management systems/solutions to develop innovative, cost effective and scalable systems facilitating growth and customer value for truckload brokerage, residential delivery, and other transportation logistics-based services. II. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Configure and support transportation management system (TMS) solutions to achieve desired business outcomes. 2. Perform software application configuration, including attributes, workflows and user interfaces for customers, third party shippers, vendors and internal support teams. 3. Perform analysis of business models, logical specifications and customer requirements. 4. Use LEAN supply chain principles to develop business process designs and improve operational effectiveness. 5. Develop comprehensive knowledge of business strategy, operating models and processes in order to identify improvement opportunities and value-added capabilities. 6. Act as expert in TMS-based solutions to support business execution and provide optimal solutions. 7. Work with development teams to integrate TMS solutions with company business systems and third-party platforms. 8. Gather, analyze and present data to support decision-making. 9. Resolve and prevent reoccurrence of issues impacting systems operation. 10. Stay abreast transportation and supply chain trends and best practices. 11. Support users of TMS improve productivity, knowledge and competence. 12. Prepare and execute regression and QA tests for configuration changes, upgrades, patching and enhancements. 13. Provide best practice consulting to management, business partners and team members. 14. Collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives. 15. Ensure quality and maintain performance of deployed solutions. IV. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS 1. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Computer Science or equivalent work experience. 2. Minimum three (5) years experience supporting/enhancing Transportation Management Systems, preferably 3G-TM and McLeod. 3. Strong transportation, 3PL/brokerage and logistics industry knowledge. 4. Experience integrating TMS solutions to ERP/third-party systems and exposure to standard EDI transaction sets. 5. Experience with XML and other integration formats. 6. Experience with writing and executing SQL queries. 7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 8.
