Position: Digital Database Administrator, UCS and GC only Location: Onsite to start, and then hybrid (St. Louis Missouri) Duration: 17+ Months MOI: Phone and Video Description: This position is a member of the Digital Manufacturing Operations Sustain and Retire Team. The Sustain and Retire Team is responsible for operations and software life cycle of manufacturing systems in production at the factories as well as provide third level support in the organization for those systems. As a Digital Database Analyst in this team, you will focus on analyzing, improving, and supporting database systems in the Digital Manufacturing portfolio. This role will also have numerous database operations responsibilities. In addition, there will many occasion where you will be required to create scripts and use programmatic features within the databases. The focus of this position will deliver results matching expected timelines and value needed to keep the business and factories up and operational. Members of this team are on-call and the position will require some off hours and/or weekend work. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Works with the factories, business, subject matter experts to resolve issues in production database systems Identify, recommend, and implement process and system improvements to improve the performance and reliability of manufacturing factory database systems Assist other team members with database design and architecture Assist in the building and implementation of database upgrades and new database technologies Assist building and adding to knowledgebase which can be shared with others Using agile methodologies to ensure application backlog is aligned, maintained and achieved throughout project cycles Manages database objects - Libraries, views, tables, stored procedures, and triggers Develop, implement, and optimize stored procedures and functions. OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES. Contribute to team efforts that support other DM departmental related initiatives Collaboration with factory personnel & other internal and external business partners. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum): Education: Bachelors degree plus 5 years experience or Associates degree plus 7 years experience or High School or equivalent and 10 years experience in Information Technology, Engineering , or related technical field. Experience (Years/Type): Technology experienced in the following: o 5+ Years in IBM DB2 LUW (Required) o Microsoft SQL Server o DB2 and Cross Platform Database Replication o ETL Processes ( SSIS, Azure ADF, etc. ) o IBM Infosphere CDC o Azure SQL Server Skills Solid data modeling and database design skills Administering and Performance Tuning of DB2 Environment Strong working knowledge and command of the use of SQL with SQL Databases Experience with backup and restore processes Excellent data investigative, analysis, and detective skills Excellent communication, facilitation, and collaboration skills in high pressure situations Demonstrated experience of deployment and implementation of small projects as they relate to databases Good understanding of technical landscape (i.e. Windows Desktop and Server Operating Systems, Networks, and Windows Application ) Basic project management understanding and skills Keywords: green card |
